Haiku Journal is one of the form specific journals. The poetry Haiku form has evolved into different forms related to the original idea of Haiku. Haiku Journal is Specifically looking for Haiku of the form 5-7-5 syllables.

The magazine publishes fifty poems per issue.

2. Presence

Presence is Britain’s leading Haiku Journal.

The genres of poetry published include:

  • Senryu
  • Tanka
  • Haibun
  • And other related forms.

The magazine is published three times a year. They are seeking work from new and experienced writers.

Before you submit your work for publication, we kindly ask you to explore our website to gain an understanding of the content we typically publish.

Please ensure that all submissions are entirely original, have not been previously published elsewhere, and are not currently under consideration elsewhere.

We request that you submit only one set of submissions per issue, adhering to a specific poetic form. For Haiku and Tanka submissions, please limit each set to a maximum of 10 poems.

For postal submissions, if you wish to receive a reply, please include a self-addressed envelope (s.a.e). For email submissions, kindly include all poems within the body of the email text rather than as attachments, and use “Presence submission” as the subject line.

 3. Acorn

Acorn is a biannual printed publication that specializes in presenting the finest contemporary English-language haiku. It places a spotlight on the individual poem and demonstrates how haiku can unveil the remarkable moments present in our daily existence.

For each submission Period you can submit 10-15 original unpublished haiku.

4. 50 Haikus

The Byline for this journal  is “the serious poetry journal with the funny name.”

Every issue publishes exactly fifty poems.

The main objective of 50 Haikus is to seek out talented poets and produce exquisite books brimming with their poetry. Their goal is to ignite a passion for Haiku in individuals and to introduce devoted Haiku enthusiasts to fresh voices that will hold a special place in their hearts indefinitely.

5. Wales Haiku Journal

The Wales haiku journal publishes international haiku( from writers across the world ). It has a regular blog where they talk about other things related to Haiku.

You can read the published Haiku for free on the website.

The magazine publishes four issues a year.

The forms of poetry and writing you would find on the website.
